New Canning Stock Route Pictures

Keith Wilcox has just posted a new lightbox of History photos. The Canning Stock Route (CSR) in Western Australia is the longest historic stock route in the world some 1,850 km (1,150 miles) long. The 51 wells along the CSR were built by Alfred Canning and his crew between 1908 and 1910, some are abandoned and some have been reconstructed supplying water to the many adventurous travellers who travel this route. These images are of a trip by the Subaru 4WD club of WA in May/June of 2005 we travelled north to south early in the season to avoid the rush. Lars-Olof Nilsson has just released a new lightbox of Transportation photos. Old automobiles are categorized according to age. Car collectors talk, in chronological order, about antique cars, Brass Era cars, vintage cars and classic cars, but the classification criteria may vary between countries. A vintage car is usually defined as being built between 1919 and 1930, but this lightbox includes automobiles from 1911 to 1932. Aboriginal Tourism Stock Photos from David C Hancock

Aboriginal Tourism is a new set of stock images that's been getting a lot of attention recently. Many visitors to northern and central Australia want to know more about Aboriginal culture. A lot of indigenous communities have started their own tour businesses with Aboriginal guides who show visitors various artistic and cultural aspects of their lives and explain the indigenous history of the region. Catherine Hill Bay Boardriders monthly club competition for April 2015 was held in the middle of the beach on the boiler bank; the same same bank as the previous two monthly comps. The day started off with perfect glassy four footers fanned by offshore winds but conditions deteriorated quickly as the wind swung around to the south east. Here’s some more White-handed Gibbon, Hylobates lar photos from Quentin Lang

Quentin Lang has just released a new set of Wildlife stock photos. The white-handed gibbon, Hylobates lar, is an endangered ape that is found in South-east Asia. These photographs were taken in Thailand in 2001 at the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, Phuket. The animals were either rescued from bars or handed in by owners who could no longer care for them.
